Martha Christina Tiahahu was born on Nusa Laut in 1800 and fought beside Pattimura against the Dutch colonial army. She was captured at seventeen, refused to eat aboard the ship carrying her to forced labour on Java, and was buried at sea in the Banda Strait.

The plate is drawn from the statue that stands above Ambon looking out over the water.
