Baju cele is the Moluccan dress: a checked cloth in red and white, worn with a sash. It is what comes out of the wardrobe for a wedding, a church service, a welcome.

Drawn as a pair, because it is almost never worn alone.

  • The fabric is slightly sheer, most visibly in the lighter colours

  • Iron on the reverse, never on the print
